Applicant privacy notice

Mainstreet Advisory, Outreach Setter and Growth Partner applicants. Last updated October 2026.

Who we are

Mainstreet Advisory is a financial due diligence firm based in Alberta, Canada. For questions or requests about your information, contact the privacy contact: Matt Calnan, Founder, matt@calnan.co.

What we collect and why

We collect the information you submit in the application and, if you are shortlisted, the assessment (including your LinkedIn URL and an optional audio or video answer). We use it only to assess your application, communicate with you, and administer the contractor program if you are onboarded. We do not ask for or score a profile photo. We do not score age, sex or gender, race, appearance, accent, disability or family status.

How we review applications

We use AI-assisted tools to help summarize and review applications. A person reviews every decline. If you need another format for the assessment as an accommodation, contact us.

Source of your application

The link you came from includes a source tag (for example, the name of the community where you saw our posting). We use it to understand where applicants come from.

Service providers and where information may be processed

We use service providers to run the application: Microsoft (Microsoft Forms and Microsoft 365, form hosting and storage), Vercel (website hosting and analytics) and Anthropic (Claude, AI-assisted review of applications). These providers may store or process your information in Canada, the United States and other countries, so it may be subject to the laws of those countries. For information about our use of service providers outside Canada, including the countries involved and the purposes, contact the privacy contact above.

How long we keep it

Raw assessment audio or video: 90 days. Application, scoring sheet, decision rationale and correspondence for unsuccessful applicants: 12 months. Records for onboarded contractors: for the relationship plus the legally required recordkeeping period (6 years for accounting and payment records). Longer only if a legal or complaint hold applies.

Your rights

This notice is given in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act and with the principles of purpose, proportionality and security in the Philippines Data Privacy Act. You can ask to access or correct your information or withdraw your application by contacting the privacy contact. We are not recruiting applicants located in the EU, UK or EEA at launch.

Eligibility

Applications are currently open to people in the Philippines, the US and Canada. Final onboarding is subject to jurisdiction and payment eligibility.
